🧱 Role Overview
We are currently recruiting experienced Welders to support ongoing projects at Sellafield. This role involves carrying out high-quality welding and fabrication work within a highly regulated nuclear environment, ensuring all work meets strict safety and quality standards.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Carry out welding activities using MMA, TIG, and/or MIG processes

Work from engineering drawings, weld procedures (WPS), and specifications
-
Prepare materials including cutting, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding
-
Produce welds to a high standard in line with relevant codes (e.g. ISO / ASME)

Perform visual inspections and ensure weld quality meets required standards

Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is safe and fit for use

Comply with all site health, safety, and environmental procedures
-
Complete required documentation and support QA/QC processes
-
Work collaboratively with supervisors and site teams to meet project deadlines
🎓 Requirements

NVQ Level 2/3 in Welding & Fabrication (or equivalent)

Valid welding codings (e.g. BS EN ISO 9606-1 / ASME IX)

Proven experience in industrial, nuclear, or heavy engineering environments

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld procedures
