Job Purpose
The SIP Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, planning, coordination, and execution of Scaffolding, Insulation, and Painting (SIPS) activities across maintenance, project, and outage work scopes.
The role ensures that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory regulations, company procedures, client standards, and industry best practice. The postholder will provide operational and technical leadership to a multi-disciplined workforce while maintaining strong client interface and commercial awareness.
Key Accountabilities:
Operational & Contract Management
• Lead and manage the delivery of multi-discipline SIPS services to meet contractual obligations.
• Scope, plan, and coordinate work activities in line with maintenance schedules, project milestones, and outage requirements.
• Prepare and support scoping activities and work pack development.
• Ensure omissions or technical issues in work packs are escalated appropriately.
• Attend and contribute to planning, safety, and operational meetings.
• Deliver contract performance in line with agreed KPIs and service level agreements.
Planning, Scheduling & Productivity
• Plan and organise work to meet programme deadlines and maximise workforce productivity.
• Coordinate multiple work fronts to minimise disruption and optimise sequencing.
• Monitor labour, plant, materials, and equipment utilisation.
• Ensure accurate submission of digital daily allocations, labour hours, and task progress updates.
• Identify and escalate schedule risks, constraints, or productivity concerns.
• Collate and report operational and commercial performance data to client and senior management.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities:
Compliance & Leadership
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership and promote a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and statutory HSE requirements.
• Initiate and lead pre-job briefs and toolbox talks.
Risk Management
• Review and approve risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure adequate controls for work at height, hot work, confined spaces, hazardous substances, and coating operations.
• Escalate significant health and safety risks.
• Report accidents and incidents in line with reporting procedures.
Workforce Safety
• Ensure personnel are competent and appropriately trained for assigned tasks.
• Enforce PPE compliance and safe systems of work.
• Monitor work practices and intervene where standards are not met.
• Maintain high housekeeping and environmental standards.
• Ensure scaffold inspections comply with AIMS-SOP-24-17 design compliance procedures.
Technical & Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all SIPS activities comply with approved method statements, ITPs, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify technical compliance including:
o Scaffold erection, tagging, inspection, and dismantling
o Insulation materials, thickness, and cladding/jacketing installation
o Surface preparation standards
o Coating systems application
o Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurements and curing controls
• Coordinate inspections with Client and QA/QC representatives.
• Address Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation.
Commercial & Performance Management:
• Monitor productivity and cost performance against contract targets.
• Support invoice verification and validation of completed works.
• Provide performance analysis reports for operational and commercial review.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and service delivery.
Leadership & People Management:
• Lead and supervise supervisors and operatives across SIPS disciplines.
• Align team behaviours with company values and professional standards.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and address issues promptly.
• Provide coaching and support to improve safety, quality, and productivity outcomes.

• On-time completion of scheduled SIPS activities
• Budget adherence and productivity targets
• Quality compliance and reduction in NCRs
• Accurate and timely reporting

Qualifications & Experience:
Mandatory
• Experience in both Maintenance and Project work scopes
• Proven leadership experience in high-pressure industrial environments
• Experience in scaffolding coordination
• CCNSG Card Holder
• Formal Health & Safety Training
Desirable
• ICORR Paint Inspector Level 1 or 2
• ICORR Insulation Inspector Level 1 or 2
• Client-specific IT / Information Security training
