We currently have an opportunity for a Fabric Maintenance Project Manager (Coatings, PFP & Insulation Services), based onshore in the Altrad Dyce, Aberdeen office & the Client office within Aberdeen City Centre.
Role Overview
The Fabric Maintenance Project Manager will lead engineering of all Fabric Maintenance (FM) work scopes across coatings, passive fire protection (PFP), and insulation. The role will utilise digital engineering and asset management systems to oversee work order lifecycle, ensure quality compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the contract.
This position acts as the focal point for FM technical delivery, digital performance tracking, and innovation in execution methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
FM Project Management
- Manage FM Engineering activities through digital platforms (e.g. SAM/iPlan), covering coatings, PFP and insulation scopes
- Oversee the lifecycle of Work Preparation including creation, approving, completion, amendments, and reversion
- Ensure accurate reporting of engineering work status, trends, and performance metrics
- Take ownership of FM tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to drive visibility and control
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all work scopes are delivered in compliance with company, client, and legislative standards
- Carry out QA/QC assurance checks and formal sign-off of completed Work Orders
- Manage Work Records and associated QA/QC documentation to ensure full traceability and audit readiness
- Identify and escalate recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions
Technical Leadership
- Act as the focal point for all Fabric Maintenance-related technical queries
- Provide subject matter expertise across scaffolding, coatings, insulation, and PFP disciplines
- Scope definition, constructability reviews, and risk-ranking sessions
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency
Planning, Materials & Logistics
- Produce material take-offs for new campaigns and planned work scopes
- Prepare and manage plant and equipment requisitions
- Monitor plant utilisation and generate weekly plant reports, challenging excess stock.
- Complete FM weekly dashboard highlighting risks and mitigations
Project Delivery & Performance Management
- Lead engagement with Client Planning Teams, Offshore Delivery Teams, and Onshore Support Teams
- Ensure all scopes are properly captured, planned, and executed in line with contractual requirements
- Maintain readiness dashboards
- Review and analyse weekly FM progress reports, identifying risks, blockers, and performance trends
- Support commercial activities including CTR development, revisions, and cost control
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and drive strong HSE culture across all activities
- Ensure all FM work is executed safely and in compliance with HSE standards
- Support safety engagement initiatives across onshore and offshore teams
People & Capability Management
- Maintain competency matrices and ensure workforce compliance
- Provide leadership and guidance to engineering and delivery teams

- Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all FM scopes
- Provide clear, data-driven visibility of engineering and project performance
- Drive continuous improvement through digital systems and innovation

Professional Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Project Management role within Fabric Maintenance / Oil & Gas
- Hold NACE or ICorr Level 2 or above/equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of scaffolding, coatings, insulation, and PFP disciplines
- Experience managing FM engineering through digital systems (e.g. SAP, Maximo)
- Demonstrable experience in QA/QC management and work order assurance
- Strong organisational, planning, and leadership skills
- Ability to analyse data and produce meaningful performance insights
- Experience in managing materials, plant, and offshore logistics
- APM or equivalent Project Management qualification preferred
