Altrad are currently looking for experienced Pipefitters to join the team for Outage Works
This role will involve working 38 hours Mon- Fri (OT as required) , Mobilisation Start Date 26/10/2026.
The position is paid in line with NAECI agreement, with lodge and travel paid where applicable.
Key Deliverables:
o Read and interpret general arrangement and isometric drawings to determine work requirements.
o Fabricate pipework in workshop and site environments for both large and small bore pipe systems and superheater headers.
o Install, replace and maintain valves, including flange and butt welded joints.
o Mark out, shape and prepare pipework components using approved tools and techniques.
o Prepare work areas, materials and equipment prior to commencing engineering activities, ensuring all safety requirements are met.
o Install, position and secure pipework systems and associated components in accordance with specifications and procedures.
o Inspect pipework installations, identify defects or deviations and take corrective action where required.
o Test completed pipework systems using approved methods, recording and reviewing results in line with project requirements.
o Reinstate work areas and equipment to a safe condition following completion of activities.
o Work in accordance with permits to work, risk assessments, method statements and site safety procedures.
o Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and reporting defects, issues and opportunities for improvement.
o Provide guidance and support to Pipefitter Trainees where required.
o Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and workmanship at all times.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors, chargehands, engineers, clients, subcontractors and regulatory representatives.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:
o General secondary education or equivalent.
o Completed a recognised Pipefitting Apprenticeship or equivalent vocational qualification.
o NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting, ACE Card or equivalent industry-recognised certification.
o Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent site-required safety certification.
o Minimum two years' experience in the fabrication and installation of large and small bore pressure pipework.
o Experience working with superheater headers, vessels and associated pipe systems.
o Experience within the oil & gas, petrochemical, thermal power generation or nuclear sectors is desirable.
o Understanding of human performance principles and safe working practices.
o Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
o Critical task training and site-specific authorisations as required by the project.
o Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
