  • About The Role

  • Altrad are currently looking for a Regional HSEQ Manager fo our North West region based in Ellesmere Port. The role is within the UK HSE team whilst maintaining day to day responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment within your UK Region. The successful candidate will have a blend of experience working as part of operations and the H&S functional team.
     
    Key responsibilities:
      • To be the focal point for the Region linking into local Operational Management, customers and external legislative bodies. 
        1. To ensure compliance with the CMS and defined HSE and quality controls. 

        1. To set style and standards in respect of HSE, supporting our operational management, across the site teams. 

        1. To support the winning work process through development and maintenance of proposal information. 

        1. Ensure forums that promote effective communication and information sharing and learning are established across the regional teams. 

        1. To be the primary contact point on HSE matters for external customers, local internal customers and external legislative bodies within the region 

        1. Responsible for advising management on the HSE performance of the region and functional teams maintaining day to day operational delivery responsibility for the local HSE team 

        1. Proactively analyse leading and lagging data to identify deviations, root causes and prepare recommendations for improvement in performance. 

        1. Actively support the UK in the implementation of the region’s HSE Improvement and development plans. 

        1. Lead the local Regional HSE team including monitoring and the reviewing of performance and compliance with the UK Regional HSE Policies, Management System and standards, processes and management systems. 

        1. Ensure all incidents have an effective investigation and root cause analysis concluded (where required), working with the operations lead to ensure the most appropriate person leads the process. Ensure findings are documented and appropriate actions plans are agreed, shared and delivered. 

      • To be the interface between central UK HSE functions and local Regional operations, to interpret and implement Policy.
      • Offer support to the quality and technical services team from the perspective of having an awareness of quality principles and driving that understanding through the HSE team.

    Key requirements:
      • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, Chartered membership preferred but not essential, or equivalent.
      • Relevant and demonstrable experience of safety management in related industries.
      • Knowledge and expertise of HSE management (strategic and operational) practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the group.
      • Knowledge and experience in applying continuous improvement principles.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstration of working well within teams.
      • IT literate.
      • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 philosophy and principles.
      • Ability to undertake causal analysis to identify root causes of incidents.
      • Ability to interface and represent the business with customers and suppliers.
      • Understand key drivers of Project Delivery.
      • Demonstrate resilience and aptitude to work independently. 
      • Ability to coach and communicate it with enthusiasm.
