Expression of Interest: Pipe Fitters Required for Major UK Projects
Job Overview
Altrad is currently seeking experienced Pipe fitters to support major projects across the UK, including opportunities within the nuclear sector. We welcome expressions of interest from qualified welders who are looking for their next project in 2026 and beyond. These roles offer competitive NAECI rates, testing opportunities available now, and the chance to work on nationally significant infrastructure projects.
Job Duties

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble and install a range of metal and plastic pipework systems.
- Cut, bend, shape and fit pipework to required standards.
- Prepare pipework and flanges for welding and installation.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Install prefabricated pipework on site.
- Operate workshop machinery, tools, overhead cranes and oxy-fuel equipment safely.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, including Firewatch duties where required.
Required Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship in Pipefitting or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant Level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) or industry-recognised pipefitting certification
- CCNSG Safety Passport preferred.
- Previous experience in pipe fabrication and installation within industrial environments.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience working in sectors such as power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, process or heavy engineering industries.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
